Please read ALL steps carefully prior to beginning your application. If you have any questions, please contact the appropriate teacher at the bottom of this page.
Application Timeline & Information
JAN 15th: Application Window Opens
JAN 22nd: Information Sessions: Learn more about Cub Leadership class options
JAN 29th - Feb 5th: Registration Meetings with Counselors
FEB 3rd: All Application Requirements Due!
FEB 12th: Email Notifications to Confirm Class Placement
Applicants for each class will be selected based on the fulfillment of all requirements listed below. After candidates have been placed, students will be notified via email. Remember, if you are not placed in a program this year, you will have the opportunity to apply in subsequent years for any of the programs that interest you.
Application Steps
01. Research Leadership Course Options
It is important that you take the time to research each of the leadership courses offered at Timnath, so you can make an informed decision on which class experiences would be the best fit for you. Please visit each of the class links below to learn more about each program. You can also see our program comparison chart for a quick look at all class topics, travel opportunities, teachers, etc.
Ambassadors: Leadership skills through planning Connection Week, mentoring younger Cubs, supporting transition events, giving tours, and helping students feel seen and valued. Work together to continuously improve and positively impact our school community.
Semester class (5 credits) | Teachers: Mrs. Vasa & TBD \ 10th-12th Grade Students Only
Cub Vision: Leads school event planning, promotes servant leadership, and builds a strong, connected TMHS community. Members work together to create meaningful experiences and foster a positive, inclusive school culture.
Year-long class (10 credits) | Teachers: Mrs. Bitsie & Mrs. Smith \ 9th-12th Grade Students Only
Timnath Navigators: Empowering youth to be change agents for environmental sustainability and community engagement through leadership skill development, teambuilding, community projects, field work, and a service adventure trip to Catalina Island, CA.
Year-long class (10 credits) | Teachers: Mr. Bergmann & Mrs. Jaster \ 9th-12th Grade Students
02. SELECT COURSE(S)
After you are confident in which classes are a good fit for you as a leader, please print or grab a Cub Leadership Application Checklist from Student Services (counseling office) and indicate which courses you are applying for next year.
TIP: We recommend applying for multiple classes to increase our ability to place as many students in leadership as possible. However, you may leave the 2nd and 3rd choice lines blank if you are truly not interested or have limitations preventing you from applying for some classes.
03. COMPLETE ONLINE APPLICATION Due on or before 2/3/26
Complete the online application by clicking on the box below.

Record and upload a short video to attach to your online application submission

Adjust the sharing permissions for your video so that all leadership teachers can view it
04. Submit Application Checklist In Person Due on or before 2/3/26
After completing steps 1-3 above, submit your Cub Leadership Application Checklist IN PERSON to the teacher(s) of your first choice class in the office.
NOTE: Your application will not be considered until you hand this page directly to our staff.
